Boat Driving
Looks like Jimmy the Jammer is back in commission and I become official wakeboardSTL boat driver...Not the best one but I am getting better. This year has been a little rough as far as injuries..In april I finally came back from elbow blowage, to three weeks ago a BMX crash that cant be discussed on the board due to graphic images that all you other groms out there dont need to visualize, and then last week in KC I took a bad digger on a slider and have one of two things wrong with me...either a really bruised disc in my hips or I actually cracked that disc...analysis given by a physical therapist.. so were not a hundo but I can assure you I will be ready to shred for the Bull Shoals trip...Oh before I forget everything at STATEAMIND WATER SPORTS is 15 percent off regular marked price when you make a purchase of 100 dollars or more...hollar at me in the shop 314-731-3795 Late, Sug |

Cti x 2
![]() |
Thats right, it is official. I am now the owner of two custom Cti knee braces. I was fit for my second one this morning. The process was pretty cool. The orthotic specialist did a digital scan of my leg and it made a 3D image on his computer. This makes the brace even more custom fit to the contours of my leg.Almost like a glove. My initial knee brace took a good hour of measurements to make it happen. This 3D scan took a whole five minutes. I am really excited to get back on the water and pick up where I left off. I have been doing to much boat driving lately. It was good to let my leg rest up a bit but now its on. I will keep all you readers informed of the new and improved bionic me, how lucky. I guess I will be able to ride like Lyman and Randall since they ride two braces...I can wish right. |

Breaking News - Email Tough Guys
I love it when desk jockeys like to hide between a computer screen and talk trash. Here is one of two emails I received this morning from an email tough guy: name: what While I am not sure who you are, if you have something you would like to personally discuss with me or something I said, feel free to do so. For now, thanks for contributing to the St. Louis wakeboard community, if you email me with your name and address; I will gladly send you some FREE wakeboardSTL stickers. For the record, my toeside is much better these days, I aint your brah and last time I checked, we live in the Midwest where people dont call each other "brah". |

Stops 2-3 - Illinois/Missouri INT
The second and third rounds of the Illinois/Missouri INT were this past weekend in Owensville, Missouri. wakeboardSTL and CWB Wakeboards both had representatives on site for both days of competition. I was not in attendance for Saturday, but here are the results from wakeboardSTL and CWB Wakeboards team riders: Saturday Results:
I was able to make it out for the Sunday portion and it looked like we may have missed the party of the Summer. Even with all of the hangovers and high winds, some good stuff went down. Here are the results from Sundays events for wakeboardSTL and CWB Wakeboards team riders: Results:
I hope to find myself better prepared for the next INT Event in Greenville, IL. Hopefully, I can finally put a solid run together and stand up both passes. See you all there. Wreckfest 2008
![]() |
Summer School - Wakboarding 105 was supposed to be an easy laid back morning while adding some style to your riding; however, I can not describe it as anything other than pure carnage for all, including myself. The water conditions were not all that great and we had a little more boat traffic than usual, but we have seen worse out there. We saw at least one concussion, several yard sales, one person almost hurl in the boat and a whole slew of people getting the wind knocked out of them. Good times..... right? All in all everyone had a good time, I think? Despite the wreckage; they will all live to ride another day. They may be sore as hell, but they will ride again. Everyone has off days when riding so do not let it get you down. Get out there and ride when you can and remember to pop, then GRAB, not the opposite. |

Stop 1 - Illinois/Missouri INT
The crew from wakeboardSTL and other CWB Faction Team riders were in full effect this past weekend at Stop 1 of the Illinois/Missouri INT in Dow, IL. We took home a win in Outlaw, a second in the Pro class and due to shady scoring a second and third in Masters. I guess it helps when the guy who wins Masters has his own son scoring him, he must have gotten extra credit for falling three times and repeated stiff legged wake jumps. Oh well, I like to ride for style and fun, not points. All in all, good times were had by all, we met some new friends and got to hang out with some old ones. We will again be on the scene this coming Sunday at the next stop in Owensville, MO and look forward to hanging out with everyone. I will hopefully have a fresh batch of stickers to hand out, so if you see me and want some stickers, hit me up. Results:
Sorry to those people that I know that I left out, but I wasnt sure of the results. In other scoring news, Nick Franklin - 0, Sheetrock Drywall - 1. Rematch coming soon. I will have a few pics up later this week from the event. |

Who are these guys...
![]() |
This past weekend was Wakeboard 104 - Toeside, for those who missed out on a good time. We are starting to see some people step up their game and really starting to go for things. We have two standouts again from this past weekend, so lets give a big round of applause to Tommy Tiller and Justin Marsh. It took Tommy a little time to get used to the wake, but the TS 180 came out successful on about the 8th try. I did not get to see Justin Marsh ride since I was in the other boat, but Aaron and Becky said that he was riding very well. I was happy to see and hear that the class of 2008 is performing well and applying the concepts that we are showing to them. It is really starting to show in their riding. I dont care what anyone says, sometimes you just have to take it back to basics and correct all of those bad habits. We have class again this weekend for anyone who may be interested and this one is going to be good times for sure. I cant wait to see you all this upcoming weekend when we add some style to your riding. The camera will be this weekend for sure, so make sure to save up your best steeze for Saturday. If you havent signed up yet or need details around this coming weekends session, contact Jon Prehn over at Stateamind Watersports for details. |
